2CI employs Velocity's non-linear editing capabilities to produce pre-rendered light shows for Music Tours and other projects, embracing the LEFTFIELD European Tour 2000 [rhythm and stealth] (that included Glastonbury as broadcast by the BBC, and Homelands as broadcast by Channel 4). 2CI said, "The graphics were projected onto lantern style screens, which, along with the set design, were created by Matt Clarke at BCD. Leftfield required an oriental vibe to the show, breaking out into urban western when Afrika Bambataa was on stage. It was an unusual show to create graphics and edit, because the music was continuous, each song overlapping the next, sometimes overlapping as much as a third of the next track. It did allow for a stunning rhythm in the graphics to develop within the context of the show. Art Direction & Graphics: Gareth Evans. Set Design: Matt Clarke. Graphics: Suzi Karakashian (Orphan Drift), Gavin Renz, Matt Clarke, Steve Editing: Chris Bird and Suzi Karakashian. The graphics for band tours are usually designed to perfectly synchronise to the band playing live, edited to the backing tracks used by the bands when they go on tour." Edric Audio Visual is now employing the benefits of real-time effects and non-linear editing on all productions. Cosgrove Hall Films use dpsVelocity for editing, Rushes, The Hive and Cinesite are some that use dpsReality for editing. Click here to see Edric's Footage
